Learning Chinese is my passion! I have been studying this amazing language over the last 5 years. My progress, albeit much slower than I would like, has been thanks to the many free resources available online and also to PINYIN TALKER, a small little tool I programmed using Flash and Actionscript 2.0. It converts written numeric pinyin into spoken words and phrases. How neat is that, uh?. So, yes, programming is one of my hobbies.

Origami, the Japanese name for the art of paper folding, comes from the Japanese verb oru (to fold) and the nounkami (paper). Its only requirement is a piece of paper, making it one of the most accessible arts. For me, it is total catharsis.
Beadworkis another of my hobbies. I like working Native American Designs using modern color schemes. This is another relaxing and "de-stressing" activity.
